I will list some of the most typical mistakes and misunderstandings in Interview answers.
In interviews, interviewees should cheat on their answers, meaning no research or outside help during the interview.
"What do you think counts as a good COO?"
"A COO must have excellent leadership skills, business acumen, and ability to effectively manage."
This is a strict NO. Any interviewee who gives answers that are not from their own will be immediately removed from the pool and no longer have the opportunity to join InternStation in the future.
Answers should be appropriate, applying all knowledge that you can use. Irrelevant answers will be seen as insufficient thinking ability.
"What ability do you have?"
"Everyone has a bunch of abilities."
Answers are off the point, and interviewers could not give the right decision.
You should answer what the question is asking, anything that's outside of the question is inappropriate. Elaborating on your answer is allowed.
"Three words that best describe your personality."
"I am enthusiastic, by the way, did you notice I..."
Although, elaborating on your answers is necessary. It can show your knowledge of understanding and benefit our grading shows your advantages.
Every answer is recorded, and interviewees should be certain of their answers.
"What do you think is the best value of yours?"
"I think responsibility, ah, maybe inclusive, maybe not..."
During the interview, interviewees should not repeat too much and also should not change their answers too many times. We would consider this circumstance as bad oral skills.
At the same time, you also shouldn’t talk too much during interviews, under this circumstance, your context is too broad or irrelevant. We could cut you off in the middle of your speech and it will be written on the report.
Other than your oral answers, your body language will also be recorded and noticed during interviews. Your camera should show your upper body. No others should be in the room, and you should always look at the camera to avoid any cheating suspicion.
As an interviewer what we want to see is your ability and your personality. We want to know whether you can fit the position or not, and what you can do for InternStation. Interviewers will be grading each interviewee, and each position has its own boundary. Each interviewee should be able to understand the position they are applying to and the basic outcome of their position. Interviewees should always be considering how to perform to their best abilities, the answers are part of your examination but not all.
